Should every country go smoke free?

Professor Cecily Kelleher (University College Dublin), leading expert of research reviews gives her answer to should every country go smoke-free? She reports that where smoking bans have been implemented there is strong evidence to show that populations, both smokers and non-smokers, have benefited significantly.

Since there arean estimated one billion smokers throughout the world, this is an important finding. Professor Kelleher goes on to outline and explain why she believes that there is need for more study, particularly into the impact of bans on the disadvantaged and the young.
