WHO WNTD Award Winners

Dr Lenka Teska Arnoštová, Deputy Minister of Health, Czech Republic and the Department of Health, Ireland were among the World Health Organization WNTD Award Winners

Miriam Gunning, Global Network president sent warmest congratulations to both award winners on behalf of the Global Board and members. Ms. Gunning said that it highlighted the critical and valuable role of Health Ministries in the development of tobacco free healthcare services. 

Ireland has one of the oldest tobacco free healthcare services networks while the Czech Republic has the newest network with the existing members only recently combining to form a network with support from the Health Ministry
